Jeroen Kockelmann is a Dutch journalist and presenter. He is best known for his work as a presenter of the Dutch talk show Op1. He has also written for several Dutch newspapers and magazines, including Vrij Nederland and De Groene Amsterdammer.
Kockelmann was born in Amsterdam on 28 November 1972. He studied journalism at the University of Amsterdam. After graduating, he began working as a freelance journalist. In 2000, he was hired by Vrij Nederland as a political editor. He also worked as a columnist for the newspaper.
In 2005, Kockelmann moved to De Groene Amsterdammer. He worked as a columnist and reporter for the magazine. He also hosted a weekly radio show on BNR Nieuwsradio.
In 2012, Kockelmann joined the NPO as a presenter of the talk show Op1. The show is broadcast on NPO 1 and BNNVARA. Kockelmann has also presented several other television programs, including Zondag met Lubach and Pauw & Witteman.
In addition to his work in television, Kockelmann is also a writer. He has written two books, De straatvechter and De gelukszoekers. He has also written several articles and essays.
Kockelmann is a regular speaker at conferences and events. He has spoken about topics such as politics, media, and society.
Kockelmann is a recipient of several awards. He has won the Dutch Journalism Award twice. He has also won the De Tegenstander award and the Johan van Galen Award.
Kockelmann is a member of the Dutch Association of Journalists. He is also a member of the Dutch Association of Writers.
